Get Growing! Get Certified! (Dig In with UC’s Grow LA Gardens initiative)

 Discover how gardening is easy, fun, and rewarding. Turn your backyard, balcony, or community plot into a thriving garden. This valuable class is for beginners and seasoned growers alike.

Earn a UC Vegetable Gardener Certificate while learning practical, science-based gardening skills from experts trained through the UC Cooperative Extension’s Master Gardener Program.

 Through interactive lessons and hands-on activities, you’ll explore topics like plant and soil health, irrigation, pest management, composting, small space growing strategies, plant propagation, fruit tree care, and more. Plus, you’ll take home seeds, seedlings, and cuttings to start growing immediately. No experience needed-just bring your enthusiasm and a love for fresh, homegrown fruits and veggies!

This class is for adults 18 and over.

Registration includes 4, 3.5-hour instructional classes.

Location: The Farm at Fairplex

Dates: March 1, 8, 15 & 22 (Sundays, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
